www.lanarkshirebusinessawards.co.uk is a joint initiative between North Lanarkshire Council and South Lanarkshire Council.

 

The website is managed by North Lanarkshire Council and South Lanarkshire Council (“the councils”) and is subject to the Terms and Conditions detailed below.  Accessing and using this website signifies your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

This website is maintained for your personal use and viewing and as such you agree that:-

 

    • your use of the website

        • is only for lawful purposes, and

        • will not restrict or inhibit enjoyment of the website by other users; and

      • post material to this site which is obscene, defamatory, offensive or which is likely to cause distress or harass any other individual,

      • post private addresses or phone numbers without the knowledge and consent of the individual concerned, or

    • use the site for purposes or advertising, direct marketing or promotion.

 

Winners from the Lanarkshire Business Excellence Awards 2022 are not permitted to enter in 2023 the category they won in 2022.

We (North Lanarkshire Council and South Lanarkshire Council) are committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of any personal information that we hold.  This privacy notice will tell you how we look after your personal information tell you about your rights.

 

We will ensure that your personal information is kept secure, in line with the General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018, and we will only collect the minimum information necessary to fulfil a particular purpose; when we don’t have a need to keep information about you, it will be disposed of in a secure manner.

If you request information or a service via email, letter or telephone, we may need your personal details to process that request.

 

    • Online forms

 

There is a range of online forms to allow you to make comment or request particular services.

 

Each form requests your contact details and if you do provide personal information we will use it only to process your request and, thereafter in accordance with the individual Data Protection registrations for the services provided.

 

    • Visitor statistics

 

To help us monitor website trends and statistics, our web server collects visitor information such as IP address, city or country of origin, type of browser and operating system used, pages visited and duration of visit. These statistics are anonymised and we do not use this information to identify individuals.

 

Cookies

 

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer by websites that you visit. They are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site.

 

We use Google Analytics to analyse the use of our website and help us create a more useful and easy to use site.  Google Analytics uses several small text files called ‘cookies’ which are saved on your computer, to collect standard internet log information and visitor behaviour.  The data collected is completely anonymous and does not store any personal details.

 

The information, collected by Google through the use of the cookie (including your IP address), is used to analyse how visitors make use of the website and allows the councils to gather statistical information such as website activity, visitor numbers, popular pages etc.
